Great Moments in PhysicsThe following concerns a question in a physics degree exam at the University of Copenhagen: "Describe how to determine the height of a skyscraper with a barometer." One student replied: "You tie a long piece of string to the neck of the barometer, then lower the barometer from the roof of the skyscraper to the ground. Is an organization run primarily by disabled for disabled on both sides of the state line. They assist newly disabled to gain access to their community as well as desired services and programs. They emphasize peer relationships and peer role models. This involves counseling from those who have “been there” in the areas of both technical and coping skills in their everyday life. Many who had no one to turn to for a scooter, lift or other device have benefited from the kindness and experienced wisdom of those who care.
